Scripture: Isa 45:2

I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight.”

There are seasons when what troubles a person is not just the burden they carry but the road ahead of them. The heart can bear weight better than it can bear uncertainty. You can endure pain for a while, but it is harder to stand before what looks twisted, blocked, delayed, and resistant. There are paths that do not look open to progress. They bend in ways you cannot predict. They confront you with old oppositions, hardened systems, and situations that never seem to answer to prayer, effort, or tears. It is one thing to ask God for strength; it is another thing to hear Him say He will deal with the road itself.

God does not only promise to help you walk; He promises to go before you. He does not remain behind, shouting instructions from a distance while you face the confusion alone. He steps ahead of you into the very places that frighten you. He enters what you have not yet entered. He touches what has not yet touched you. He addresses obstacles before they become your full experience.

That means the believer is never truly walking into untouched territory. What looks like an unknown place to you is not unknown to God. The meeting, the decision, the resistance, the delay, the opposition, the complicated turn, the human heart you cannot read, the gate that looks shut, the situation that seems badly arranged, none of it lies outside His reach. Before your foot lands there, His hand can already be there.

He says, “He will make the crooked places straight.” Crooked places are not just difficult places but places that seem distorted, places where what should be simple becomes tangled, places where sincerity meets manipulation, effort meets delay, obedience meets contradiction, and clarity is swallowed by confusion. A crooked place is where progress is not denied openly but twisted quietly. You try to move, but the road keeps turning under you. You try to build, but something keeps bending out of shape. You try to obey, but the path does not respond with order.

The word of the Lord enters there with authority. He is able to straighten what has been bent by time, by human interference, by fear, by misalignment, by inherited trouble, by invisible resistance. The road before you may still look crooked from where you are standing, but heaven is not disturbed by what still looks bent on earth. God can be working ahead of you in silence.

So do not shrink back because the road looks complicated. Do not let delay persuade you that the path will always remain bent. Do not make a permanent conclusion from a present distortion. The Lord who speaks here is not making a suggestion. He is declaring what He Himself will do. He will go before you. He will make the crooked places straight.

Prayer

Lord, I bring before You every crooked place in my life. Every path that has become complicated, delayed, resisted, or bent out of shape, let Your hand go there before me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
