Scripture: Deuteronomy 33:26
One reason people become discouraged is because they think God is not helping them unless they can clearly see a miracle. But many times, supernatural help is already at work long before it becomes obvious.
Deuteronomy 33:26 says, โThere is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides across the heavens to help youโฆโ This means God is not absent, He is at work, He is helping, even when the evidence is not yet clear to you.
The problem is that His help does not always arrive in ways the flesh immediately recognizes. Sometimes His help looks like strength to continue when you should have collapsed; it is the closing of a door that would have destroyed you later, or preservation in a season where things should have gone worse, or it is the quiet, sustaining grace that keeps a man from breaking apart internally.
Many people take Godโs help for granted because they only count help when something dramatic happens. But there is help in being preserved, in being guided; there is help in still having strength to continue and in surviving what could have broken you.
The truth is that if God removed His help completely from a manโs life, many would realize they survived more by mercy than by strength. Some people think they are still making progress because they are wise, disciplined, or strong, without realizing that unseen help has been carrying them all along. As a result, some become proud. They mistake grace for personal ability. They think they achieved all of these by strength alone, forgetting the invisible help that kept them, preserved them, redirected them, and sustained them.
The God who rides in help is not only helping during visible crises, He is helping daily. The breath in your lungs, the strength to rise again, the opportunities you did not create yourself, the dangers you never saw, and the battles you survived without understanding howโall these are part of His help.
Many times, supernatural help is already present before it becomes evident. Believers must learn to stay with God even when they do not fully see what He is doing. A man who understands this becomes less anxious, less proud, and more dependent on God.
God has been helping you more than you know. Stay with Him until what He is doing becomes clear.
Prayer:
Lord, open my eyes to recognize Your help in my life. . Keep my heart from drifting away while You are still working. Teach me to stay with You, trust You, and never take Your help for granted. Amen.
