Scripture: Numbers 13:25–27
Song: God is able
“And they returned from searching of the land after forty days… and they shewed them the fruit of the land. And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.”
There are realities that already exist in God’s word long before they appear in your hands. There are places already prepared in God that your feet have not yet entered. Canaan did not just become real when the spies saw it; it was real when God spoke it.
God did not bring Israel out of Egypt with a vague promise. He was not trying to motivate them with sweet words, nor was He giving them a dream to make the wilderness bearable. He told them of a land flowing with milk and honey because the land existed. What He described was not exaggeration; it was truth.
When the spies returned with the fruit, they were not making the promise real; they were confirming what was already said by God. The grapes did not make God truthful; the milk and honey did not improve His credibility. Rather, the fruit only exposed what had always been settled: God cannot lie.
We say we believe God, but we still treat His promise as if it is uncertain until life confirms it. We wait for people, money, opportunities, results, systems, and circumstances to prove whether God meant what He said. But God’s word does not become true because conditions agree. God’s word is true because God is true. However, the issue is not whether God’s promise is sure; the issue is whether you will believe Him enough to contend for manifestation.
The fruit was evidence, but it was not possession. Israel saw what God said, but they still had to enter. They had proof, but proof was not the end. The promise had to move from report to reality, from testimony to territory, from evidence in the hand to inheritance under their feet.
Many promises remain at the level of “God showed me” because nobody is pressing them into manifestation. Some people have become too comfortable with hearing. They have journals full of promises, memories full of confirmations, and mouths full of “God said,” but their prayer life is cold.
You cannot keep calling something a promise and treat it like a suggestion. If God has spoken, why are you not demanding it? If God has shown you the fruit, where is your pursuit? If you believe the land is real, why are you sitting as if nothing is at stake? Why are you sleeping over what you should be travailing over? Why are you discussing what you should be praying into birth?
God’s faithfulness does not excuse spiritual laziness. His promise is sure, but manifestation still demands alignment. You keep the word alive until what God said becomes visible.
The spies said, “Surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.” That word surely must enter your spirit. Surely, God is not a liar. Surely, His word is not empty. Surely, what He promised has substance. Surely, what He revealed is not fiction. Surely, there is more than this present wilderness.
But do not stop at “surely.” Press until “surely” becomes “we have entered.” Do not be satisfied with evidence when God is calling you into manifestation. Do not clap over the fruit and die outside the land; do not spend your life admiring what God intended you to possess.
If God said it, it is real. Now pray it through. Stand until the promise leaves the realm of expectation and becomes the testimony of your life.
Prayer
Lord, I believe You are not a man that You should lie. Every promise You have spoken over my life, let it come into manifestation. I will not die outside what You have prepared. Bring me into the reality of what You have said. Amen.
