Scripture: Habakkuk 2:2
Relevance is rarely an accident. It is often the product of clarity: knowing what God is saying, what you are building, and where you are going. For this reason God did not only tell Habakkuk to wait; He told him to write, because a vision that stays only in the mind can easily become mixed with fear, distraction, and delay. But a vision that is written becomes a compass. It becomes a reference point and a guide.
“Write the vision, and make it plain” is God’s way of saying, “Don’t keep it vague; don’t keep it confusing. Put it down in clear words, so clear that it can guide you even when life is moving fast.
“that he may run that readeth it.” This means the vision should be so understandable that it produces movement, not confusion. It should create direction, not hesitation. It should be easy to follow by you and by those connected to your assignment. When vision is plain, you don’t spend your strength guessing; you spend your strength progressing.
This is a recipe for relevance because people who are clear move with purpose and don’t waste seasons.
Today, ask God for clarity, then do your part: write it plainly, not as a long document; start with simple lines: what God is calling you to, who it serves, and what the next step is. Your written vision becomes a daily reminder that you are not drifting; you are running.
Prayer
Father, give me clarity. I receive a plain vision and the grace to run with it. I will not drift; I will move with purpose. Help me live it faithfully, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
