There is a call God keeps making that many people keep postponing. Life is full, the mind is crowded, and the heart is pulled in many directions at once, as there is always something to do, something to solve, somewhere to be, and someone to answer. Yet beneath all of that movement, something remains unsettled. A person can keep going and still feel inwardly worn. A person can stay active and still be far from rest. In the middle of all that, the voice of Jesus still comes with quiet force: “Come unto me…”

He is not calling you to a routine or religious activity; He is calling you to Himself away from the noise, away from the constant pull of life, away from the inner strain of carrying too much for too long. The call to the secret place begins here. It begins with the heart of God drawing a man near.

To come is deeper than saying prayers in passing. It is deeper than touching God briefly and moving on. To come means to give Him your full attention, to step away from what keeps scattering your heart, and to turn deliberately toward Him. Sometimes, this invitation can be so easily delayed because many people love the thought of God, but they keep avoiding the place where they must become still before Him. They remain around sacred things, yet never truly withdraw to be with Him. They speak to Him but do not stay.

Yet the secret place is where this invitation is answered. It is the place where a person stops running through life and begins to sit before God with honesty and hunger. It is the place where striving begins to lose its grip and the soul returns to the One it has missed even while being busy. Before there is power, direction, or any visible manifestation, there is this first call: Come unto Me.

Accepting this invitation begins when a person stops resisting the pull of God and answers by admitting that nothing outside of Him can truly satisfy what is empty within, and the invitation is no longer admired from a distance but accepted. The secret place opens with this simple but weighty response: Lord, I am coming.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for still calling me to Yourself. Father, I come unto You, I accept Your invitation. Let the secret place become real to me. Let it be the place where I return to You, stay with You, and learn to treasure Your presence above every distraction. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
